We have wild balckberriy bushes on our acerage and I am getting tired of getting cut/stuck with the thorns while picking. Is there protective clothing to wear so I don't get torn up?
Thanks. |

| back to the protective clothing question - how about something made of heavyweight duck twill - stuff Carhartt overalls are made of- 'course it would probably be rather hot to wear. For the legs snake bite proof hunting chaps might work but they are expensive for the full length protection |

In NJ we'd dress up in long sleeved shirts and pants and sometimes putting surgeon's gloves on our hands to pick wild blackberries. They were really plentiful and BIG there. Wore hiking boots, too, to stomp down some vines to get to the good stuff further back.
For my raspberries, I need a long sleeved shirt and wet rag (to keep cooler) over the top of my head. _________________ Ralph
