Our friend 2 doors down has some little roses that I assume are shrub. They have a small bloom and leaves. I have no idea how tall they would grow as the rabbits love them for their daily salad. Any ideas on something she can do to keep the bunnies out?

I'd skip all the junk in bottles and such and go straight to chicken wire cages - if elimination of the rabbits is not a solution.

I hardly ever see rabbits but she says that is what it is. She don't like chicken wire but maybe we can find a short fencing to place around them. I think it rains too much down here to use spray on stuff also. Just washes away. Guess we should go walk the isles of Home Depot. Thanks

Short (about 6") fences keep rabbits out. That's what I used in Baton Rouge.

Shot gun with bird shot works, too.

I don't think shot guns in this park would go over too well. Think we will look into the short white plastic picket fence.

Could you get away with "That's how we celebrate ______ in Ohio"?

They think us Ohioans sound like hillbillies so they might just believe it. Ohio, Michigan and Canada have the most people here in this park. Back on this corner, Ohio is quite the little settlement. This lady with the roses has been down here about 20 years but she came from Bucyrus and the woman who took my job when I retired is a niece of hers and we did not even know it till after we had purchased it. She had also been a teacher of my sister-in-law. [/list]
